T2C @ DDW

20–28/10/18

3 technologies, 6 master cases, 1 way of working: this was how CCD framed the final showcase of research from the Trash-2-Cash project at Dutch Design Week.

Housed in the historic Klogkebouw building in Eindhoven, visitors were surprised and excited to see that beautiful garments with performance features could be made from textile waste. There was also great interest in how Life Cycle Thinking and a Design-Driven approach had been used to integrate diverse expertise to tackle additional problems of future recyclability and ocean pollution. A symposium was also held at VanBerlo’s HQ to present the cellulose, polyester and PET regeneration technologies in more depth as well as the master case prototypes. See the film here.
